A production of The Dybbuk by Julia Pascal, a faculty member in St. Lawrence's program of study in London, is running in New York this summer, as part of the Dream Up Festival. This represents the work's U.S. debut.
Pascal was the 2008 Siegal Memorial Lecturer at St. Lawrence, with a presentation on "Jewish Mothers and Daughters." The Dybbuk, written and directed by Pascal, debuted in London in 1992; it toured in the UK and in continental Europe over a decade. Stage manager for the New York production, at the Theater for the New City, is Larissa Groesbeck '10, who participated in the University's program of study in London.
