Paige McKnight '08, of Chase Mills, has received the Outstanding
Student Employee award from the Northern New York Library Network (NNYLN).
McKnight, a graduate of Madrid-Waddington High School, was nominated
for the award by Owen D. Young Library staff members Patti Pearson,
Joan Larsen and Robin Hutchinson.
The NNYLN states, "The contribution of student workers to libraries is
an integral part of library operation and the NNYLN believes they deserve
recognition for their efforts."
NNYLN members are invited annually to nominate student employees for the awards,
based on criteria that includes attendance records, patron service skills,
colleague interaction, responsibility, peer leadership, interest and initiative.
McKnight is an English major, with a minor in education. She's a member of the
Irving Bacheller Society, the English department honorary.
