Olivia Birdsall '11 is one of 54 Woodrow Wilson Indiana Teaching Fellows, selected by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.
Birsdall, who earned her St. Lawrence degree in fine arts, will receive a $30,000 stipend to complete an intensive master's degree program at the University of Indianapolis, then commit to teaching for at least three years in a high-need urban or rural school in the state of Indiana.
At St. Lawrence, Birdsall was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honor society. She is from Georgetown, Maine, and was also inducted into the University's chapter of the leadership honor society Omicron Delta Kappa.
