Neema Mawiyoo '07

Neema Mawiyoo '07 recently was one of three Kenyan women poets invited to read works at the 13th Stockholm Poetry Festival held in November in Sweden.

The event in which Mawiyoo participated was the festival's "headline seminar." Excerpts from the seminar, including Mawiyoo's performance, are posted on YouTube.

A music major at St. Lawrence, Mawiyoo participated in the University's program of study in London and was involved in many campus organizations, including the Laurentian Singers and the leadership honor society Omicron Delta Kappa.
