Three students in the Spring 2008 course
Music in Venice traveled with
instructor Barbara Phillips-Farley to get the experience first-hand, after
Commencement. The travel component of the course is optional.
Dorothea Ehrhardt '10, Elizabeth Truskowski '10 and Caitlyn Huntington '10 spent
time with Phillips-Farley in Florence and Venice after the conclusion of the
course. During a four-day visit to Florence, they visited the Duomo,
Baptistery, and a variety of museums and churches. They then spent five
days in Venice, where, in addition to visiting historical sites, they attended
concerts to hear music related to the course, including works by Vivaldi,
Albinoni and Mozart performed at San Vidal church by Interpreti Veneziano.
