St. Lawrence made it to the top...of Mount Whitney in California, that is, thanks to an alumnus and two students who climbed to the 14,496-foot summit in the summer of 2008.

In the photo above, Andrew Coleman '02, of Cleveland, OH (left); Patrick Cavallaro '10, of West Newbury, MA; and Molly Wike '10, of Winnetka, IL, spell out "S-L-U" to celebrate their climb. Wike reports that the trio sumitted via the mountaineer's route.
