Mihnea (Mike) Tudoreanu '09, of Bucharest, Romania, worked for the
British Labour Party during the British election season as
part of an internship while participating in St. Lawrence University's program
of study in London for spring 2008.
The four-week internship with the Labour Party focused on the re-election
campaign of London Mayor Ken Livingstone, including visits to community
centers, canvassing constituents and
helping set up events. Tudoreanu had the
opportunity to meet British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Foreign
Secretary David Miliband, as well as attend a reception at the prime
minister's residence, at 10 Downing Street.
An
economics-mathematics combined major, Tudoreanu is a former vice
president of the student government organization the
Thelomathesian Society, a member of the leadership honorary
society Omicron Delta Kappa
and the
mathematics and
philosophy honorary societies.
