Michaela Stewart '08, of Averill Park, NY, attended the 2007 Public Choice Outreach
Conference, held at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, July 12-15. The
conference is designed for young scholars who are planning professional
careers in academia, law or public policy and features nationally known
speakers in economics, politics and other topics.
Stewart is a government major with
a minor in speech/theatre. She's a graduate
of the Academy of Holy Names in Albany and a member of the women's lacrosse team,
Delta Delta Delta sorority, Panhellenic Council, the Student Alumni Association
and the Global Awareness Society. Stewart, an admissions tour guide,
spent a year studying in China and blogged about her experiences for the
St. Lawrence Web site; she is also assisting Munsil Professor Emeritus of
Government Robert Wells in writing a book on New York State government and politics.
