Vice President of the University and Dean of Academic Affairs Grant
Cornwell '79 and Professor of English Eve Stoddard are Donald C.
Faber Distinguished Scholars-in-Residence at Miami University, and
delivered a presentation there recently, titled "Peripheral Visions: Toward a Geoethics
of Citizenship."
The Faber Scholar-in-Residence program "allows Miami to bring nationally
recognized experts to campus for intensive work with undergraduates," according
to an announcement from the university.
Cornwell and Stoddard discussed St. Lawrence's intercultural and global studies
program, which they launched, and the book they co-edited, Global Multiculturalism:
Comparative Perspectives on Ethnicity, Race and Nation.
Their visit was sponsored by Miami University's honors program.
