Marina Llorente
Associate Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures Marina Llorente will give a talk at SUNY Potsdam, as part of the Women's and Gender Studies Anne R. Malone Lecture Series. Her talk, entitled "Memory Against Forgetting: Spanish Civil War and Franco's Dictatorship in Contemporary Poetry," will be on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 4 p.m. in the eighth-floor boardroom in Raymond Hall.
This event is free, and the public is invited to attend. The Women's and Gender Studies Lecture Series is sponsored by a grant from the Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley and is given in memory of Dr. Anne R. Malone. Upcoming talks will focus on how minority instructors confront race issues in the classroom; Amish women in business; love and identity in the age of Obama; and community service learning.
