Coordinator of Campus Sustainability Louise Gava '07 is part of a small group of campus professionals who will provide input and suggestions to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) as they prepare to implement the next steps in the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment (ACUPCC).

To date, presidents and chancellors of more than 600 schools - representing 30 percent of all college students - have signed the commitment, including St. Lawrence President Daniel F. Sullivan. In order to support them in their efforts, AASHE is planning a submission form for uploading Climate Action Plans to the ACUPCC Reporting System; a climate discussion forum; mentoring and training for signatories; a redesign of the ACUPCC Web sit; and other initiatives. Gava has been invited to be part of a small group of implementation liaisons who will offer input, suggestions and comments on the enhancements.
