Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Karla General '07
Karla E. General '07, Hogansburg, New York, completed a 10-week internship
during the summer in the Washington office of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
(D-New York). General was one of 12 students from nine tribes and 11
universities to be selected as 2006 Native American Congressional Interns.
General is a graduate of the Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School and a
sociology/government major,
with a minor in Native
American studies. She is a Presidential Diversity Scholar and a Gates Millennium Scholar.A member of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, General is a member of
the government honor society,
Chi Omega sorority, the Native American Student Organization and the
women's golf team.
