Jonathan Cardinal '08, of Ogdensburg, NY, has been named to the 2008 All-USA College Academic Third Team, USA Today's recognition program for outstanding undergraduates.

Cardinal, a government major, was cited for, among other things, working on an anti-bullying program in Los Angeles, and then bringing what he learned there to local area schools. Former president of the student government organization, Cardinal is one of the first two St. Lawrence students to have been named a Truman Scholar. He participated in the Washington Semester program and was a University Fellow in 2007.
