Jeff Seely '76 has been appointed chief executive officer of Seattle,
Washington-based Jobster, an online career network. He had been CEO of
ShareBuilder from 1998 until the sale of the company to ING Direct,
which closed on November 15, 2007.
Prior to ShareBuilder, Seely served as a senior investment banker at
Robertson Stephens & Co., a global securities and investment banking firm.
He also held senior banking positions at Dean Witter Reynolds and Smith Barney.
Seely earned his St. Lawrence degree in economics
and holds a master's degree in business administration from Columbia University
Graduate School of Business. He is a frequent speaker at executive forums and
industry conferences. Seely is a director of the National Association of Corporate
Directors NW and a trustee of the Washington State Investment Board, which oversees
more than $80 billion of pension assets for state employees. Seely also
serves on the board of Concur Technologies.
As an undergraduate at St. Lawrence, Seely was in the student government
organization the Thelomathesian Society,
and he has been active as an alumnus,
especially in Reunion development and career advising.
