Three students - along with faculty and alumni - gave research presentations at the 46th annual meeting of the Northeastern and North-Central sections of the Geology Society of America, held March 20 to 22, 2011, in Pittsburgh.
Presentations involving current students were:
- Wendell Caesar '11, David Mosher '10 and Professor of Geology Jeffrey Chiarenzelli '81, "Trace Element Content of the Marcellus Shale"
- Ross Klepetko '11 and Assistant Professor of Geology Alexander Stewart, "Battle of Sackett's Harbour, Lake Ontario, NY (29 May 1813): A US Tactical Victory Militated by Geology"
- Amelia Oates '12, Assistant Professor of Geology Antun Husinec and Fred Read, "Cyclostratigraphy of Upper Albian Tropical Platform-Interior Carbonate Facies, Korcula Island, Southern Croatia."
