St. Lawrence University field hockey Coach Fran Grembowicz will be inducted into her alma mater's athletic hall of fame, for her contributions there as a field hockey player.

The 1976 field hockey team of Castleton State College in Vermont -- including Grembowicz -- will be inducted into the college's Athletic Hall of Fame on September 13. She will take part in the ceremony, and has another college to thank for that. The St. Lawrence team was originally schedule to face Oswego State on September 13, but changed the contest to September 12 so that Grembowicz could participate in the Castleton State festivities.

Castleton State had a 10-3-1 record in 1976 and went on to post-season play. The sport, which had been eliminated, was recently reinstated at the school.
