A recent article in The Journal Of Physical Chemistry has a St.
Lawrence professor and alumnus as co-authors.
"Molecular Dynamics Study of Aqueous Uranyl Interactions with Quartz (101)"
includes as co-authors Assistant Professor of Chemistry Jeffery A. Greathouse
and Robert J. O'Brien '01. Additional authors of the article are Gregory
Bemis, a student from Hamilton College who worked with Greathouse through
the New York Science Education Program in which the University participates,
and Roberto T. Pabalan. The research was co-sponsored by St. Lawrence and
the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analysis, Southwest Research Institute,
San Antonio, Texas.
