Filmmaker Jim Powers '10 has included three Laurentians in his latest project, a film titled Five Census. Powers cast Assistant Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead, Visiting Assistant Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Chris Clarke and Mike Barry '11 in the film.

Five Census is written and directed by Powers, who plans to submit the film to festivals upon completion. Powers has made a number of films, several of which have won awards.
