St. Lawrence University graduate Amy Farrell, a cross country record-holder at
the University, placed fifth in the professional division of the USA Lake Placid
Triathlon, held July 28.
A member of the Class of 1999 and a native of Ogdensburg, Farrell is an adaptive
physical education teacher and coach, and now makes her home near Lake Placid.
She has competed in triathlons all over the country, including events in
California and Hawaii.
Farrell had the second-best showing by a local triathlete in the recent Lake
Placid event, with a finish of 10:13:29. She and teammates hold the St. Lawrence
record in the 3,200-meter relay.
