St. Lawrence University students, faculty and staff were among those to "Make A Difference" in their communities on October 25, as they participated in a variety of service projects.

Clean-up and fix-up of the playground at Canton's middle school was among the projects tackled on "Make A Difference Day," along with assistance in raking leaves, putting up storm windows and other get-ready-for-winter tasks at the homes of elderly residents in the community. Students also joined in a community project a few days later to build a fence around an historic cemetery in the village.

Students from Beta Beta Beta and Alpha Tau Omega fraternities; Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta and Kappa Delta Sigma sororities; the Anthropology Club, Circle K, Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, Habitat for Humanity and Commons College took part in the effort, as did many individuals not affiliated with any particular group on campus.
