Deb Sheldon, a food service generalist in Dining Services, achieved a perfect
score on the ServSafe food-safety test recently, the first employee in the
department ever to achieve that score.
The ServSafe test was developed by the National Restaurant Association
Educational Foundation and members of the Dining Services staff participated in the
program in January; director Cindy Atkins reports that most either became certified or
re-certified as a result. The certification program is nationally recognized and
accredited.
Sheldon, who works in the Northstar Cafe, has been employed by St. Lawrence since
1974.
