Andy Rampersaud '10, of Bronx, NY; Neema Mawiyoo '07, of Nairobi, Kenya; and
Matia Ayers '08, of Canton, NY, were among the 300
students participating in the conference, which provides
information regarding the admissions process for graduate school. Aimed
especially at students underrepresented in graduate schools, the conference
also featured representatives from about 50 institutions at a graduate college
fair.
The students all participate in St. Lawrence's CSTEP program,
which is a New York State Education Department-funded program of
resources and services to promote diversity and academic excellence in
science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) undergraduate
