Vice President of the University
and Dean of Academic Affairs Grant Cornwell '79 has been appointed to the
Eastern region advisory council for the National Institute for Technology and
Liberal Education (NITLE), which will hold its inaugural meeting in Hartford, CT,
in May of 2006.
The Eastern advisory council, comprised of 15 campus leaders representing a
range of professional and disciplinary roles, will advise the organization on
strategic goals. NITLE is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting liberal
education. It provides opportunities for teachers in liberal arts contexts to
create transformative learning experiences for and with their students by
deploying emerging technologies in innovative, effective and sustainable ways.
