St. Lawrence not only has the NCAA Division III soccer coach of the year in Bob Durocher, it can also lay claim to Division I Coach of the Year Pat Farmer '74.

Farmer, a native of Old Forge, N.Y., lettered in soccer and skiing at St. Lawrence University, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. He coached women's soccer and was an assistant ski coach at St. Lawrence, before moving on to coach women's soccer at Ithaca College, which is Durocher's alma mater.

He is now at Penn State, and this year guided the Nittany Lions to their first-ever NCAA Women's College Cup appearance. Farmer has been head coach of the women's soccer program since its inception in 1994.
