Two St. Lawrence students participating in the ROTC program at Clarkson University
recently took a ride in military helicopters, during an aircraft
orientation day.
Kaitlyn Fahsel '11, of Watertown, NY, and Christopher Shineman '11, of Palatine
Bridge, NY, took part in the event, which featured two Blackhawks and two
Chinooks flying to the appropriately named Baghdad Field on Clarkson's campus.
Participants received an orientation to the aircraft, safety briefs and
flights around the Potsdam area.
Fahsel is a graduate of South Jefferson Central School and is a
member of the women's soccer and lacrosse teams. Shineman is a graduate of
Canajoharie Central School and is a member of the football team.
