Associate Professor of Geology Jeffrey Chiarenzelli '81 gave the Science Today lecture at SUNY Oswego February 3, on environmental forensics and possible methods of restoration on St. Lawrence Island, Alaska, primarily with regard to persistent organic pollutants and biogenic hydrocarbons, such as crude oil and various other forms of petroleum spills.
Chiarenzelli, on sabbatical for 2009-2010, has several speaking engagements coming up:
