Three St. Lawrence graduates, all of whom were students in a translation
workshop taught by Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures Steven White, have had work
published in the most recent issue of Cadernos de Tradução,
from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, Brazil.
Translations by Maricela Blair '04 ("Steven G. Kellman. Switching Languages:
translingual authors reflect on their craft"), Amy Earl '05 ("Chan Sinwai.
Translation and Information Technology") and Lacey Branch '05 ("Douglas Robinson.
Performative Linguistics: Speaking and Translating as Doing Things with Words")
all appear in No. 15 of the specialized translation journal.
Work by many of White's former students, all accomplished in classes and
workshops he teaches, has appeared in previous editions of the journal.
