Rugby Canada announced the 28 selections for the U19 men’s 2003–2004 training squad, and it includes a St. Lawrence University sophomore.

James G.L. Buchanan '06, of Calgary, Alberta, is on Canada’s 28-player roster for the inaugural U19 World Cup, to be played in South Africa in April of 2004. The final team will be selected from this squad.

The top U19 men’s players will participate in a week-long training camp late this year or early next year, including trial matches to assist selectors in rounding out the U19 World Cup squad. Buchanan plays scrum half.

At St. Lawrence, Buchanan is on the football team. He's a 2002 graduate of Central Memorial High School in Calgary.
