Tyler Boutelle '01, of Tahoe City, California, finished 10th in the finals of
the World Freeskiing Tour Championships held recently at the Kirkwood Ski
Resort in California.
This was the first freeskiing competition for Boutelle, who was competing
with the 27 best athletes in the world in the sport.
Boutelle learned to ski at the age of three at West Mountain in his hometown
of Queensbury, New York. He is a 1997 graduate of Glens Falls High School,
where he was a member of the Alpine Ski team, and a 2001 graduate of St. Lawrence
University, majoring in environmental studies/biology.
