Brendan F. Baynes '83, of Loudonville, New York, managing partner at
D’Agostino, Krackeler, Baynes & Maguire, P.C., a Menands, NY-based general
practice and civil litigation firm, was recently elected to the Executive
Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Torts, Insurance and
Compensation Law (TICL) Section as representative of the Third Judicial
District.
TICL publishes a journal and newsletter, and conducts continuing legal
education seminars for attorneys practicing in personal injury and
workers’ compensation law. TICL also actively provides input to NYSBA
regarding specific relevant legislative issues in these areas of law.
The executive committee oversees these functions.
A 1986 graduate of Albany Law School of Union University and 1983 graduate
of St. Lawrence University with a degree in English, Baynes is experience as
a trial lawyer and maintains a diverse practice counseling clients in
corporate and real estate matters and providing pro bono services to the
Legal Aid Society. He is an active member of the Albany County and New York
State Bar Associations and has lectured for the New York Bar State Bar
Association at Continuing Legal Education seminars regarding automobile
liability, no-fault issues, evidence and expert testimony. Baynes is admitted
to practice in New York State and the United States District Court, Northern
District of New York.
