A paper by Andrew Le '10 has been accepted for presentation at the meeting of the Eastern Sociological Society (ESS) in Boston in March of 2010. Le, of King, WA, is a sociology major.

The paper is titled "Destiny of the Poor: The Transnational Migration of Vietnamese Laborers to the Caribbean." Conference director Jonathan White, of Bridgewater State College, wrote to Le of his submission, "We were rather impressed with your abstract and the thoughtfulness of your work. Indeed, it is encouraging and makes us proud as sociologists to know that undergraduate students are producing the type of quality work that your abstract presents."

Le has studied in China and Trinidad/Tobago through the University's International and Intercultural Studies Program and is a member of the football team.
