As the first anniversary of bombings that ripped through Madrid, Spain,
on March 11, 2004 approaches, a St. Lawrence University senior who
conducted interviews with persons affected has launched a Web site
detailing the devastating aftermath.
Amy Earl '05, of Acworth, New Hampshire, traveled to Madrid in May
of 2004, with assistance from a travel/research grant awarded by the
Center for International and Intercultural Studies on campus. Her
research was also conducted as her Senior Year Experience project.
A participant in the University's program of study in Spain in 2003,
Earl conducted 15 interviews for her project, and created the Web
site to document the event and the effect it had on the city and many
individuals.
