Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead

Assistant Professor of Performance and Communication Arts Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead will direct a production of the Steven Dietz play Private Eyes for Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake. The cast includes four professional actors and Sara Cushing '13, of Adams, New York.

Pendragon is the only year-round professional theatre company in the Adirondacks; they have performed at St. Lawrence a number of times. Company founders Bob Pette and Susan Neal were awarded the University's North Country Citation in 2007. Gardinier Halstead has acted in several of Pendragon's productions, and she has directed a number of mainstage productions at St. Lawrence. She is on sabbaical during the spring 2011 semester.

Private Eyes, first produced in 1996, is "a comedy of suspicion in which nothing is ever quite what it seems." The production opens at Pendragon on March 18, 2011.
