Robin Rhodes-Crowell delivered teacher training to rural teachers in Jianning, Fujian
Robin Rhodes-Crowell, visiting faculty in Modern Languages and Literatures, delivered teacher training to rural teachers in Jianning, Fujian, in partnership with United Cultures Innovation Center for International Cooperation and Dr. Helen Huang (SLU CIIS), from July 11 to July 21, 2017. Robin Rhodes-Crowell, was invited as a trainer and offered training to rural teachers on Learner Centered Instruction and teaching pedagogy. Two workshops were delivered to 41 rural Chinese teachers in Jianning, a rural town in the southeast part of China.
The workshop received excellent feedback from the teachers and was featured in both the Fujian Daily and the China News. The local Jianning school has agreed to work with SLU for future teacher training collaboration and other education related initiatives.
