For the Unborn. Greensboro: Unicorn Press, 1986. (Poems)
"The title poem is a sweeping elegy, a prophecy
of truth, a hard look at a not-so-impossible conclusion to humankind:
self-destruction. Spurred by a series of questions and answers, as from
a child to an elder, the poem churns a chilling, though fictitious,
tale
of surrealistic observations. Hope and Defeat are the cool adversaries
in this poem
.The poem "For the Unborn" is a virtual
text of living, of what it means to be alive, with a sensitive look
at the world that will prompt us to take an inquisitive look at ourselves
and to be grateful for what we have."
