Ode To My Favorite Spanish Word
(Spanish 201: Advanced Spanish, Fall 08 )
After reading and discussing "Oda al diccionario" by Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, I asked my students to write an ode to their favorite word in Spanish. This exercise provided them with a creative space to continue working on their writing skills. During the following class, they had to share their work with all their classmates as it was an opportunity to enjoy each other's work and to continue learning new vocabulary. Here are the odes of those students who have volunteered to present their poetic creation through our webpage. I hope you enjoy them as much as we all did in our class!
