Through the Eyes of Garage

Throughout my research my main focus was to write a piece that was going to be informative in relation to garage music and the outside elements that are affecting it. I tried to focus mostly on the positive aspects of garage and its contributions to the music scene as well as the people within the London communities. However, I realized that garage is a genre that is under constant attack by the media and the authorities; therefore it was very difficult focusing on its great contributions when the small amount of sources I found touched on all the negative aspects it is believed garage brings to the public. Overall, my main point was to depict the realistic edge garage brings to the music scene and the lessons it teaches through its lyrics.
