At St. Lawrence, Nevaan has been a chapter leader in the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, played club rugby, soccer, and squash, and a member of the Career Services Student Advisory Committee Board. He works as a community assistant and at ODY library. His career goal is to attend grad school to study Artificial Intelligence, so that he can work towards providing an easily accessible educational system to underprivileged children all around the world.
His favorite experiences in the department have been taking new courses and talking to professors. He also appreciates Q-club, Pi Day, and getting department T-shirts. His advice to students is to take advantage of the many opportunities the university provides. "The liberal arts education at St. Lawrence has exposed me to multiple perspectives and disciplines, helping me not only think like a computer scientist, but also like a humanitarian, art critique and environmentalist," he says.
