Annual Canton – St. Lawrence University Race Weekend
Logo Design Contest

Here is your chance to win $100 and to be a part of the Third Annual Canton-St. Lawrence University Race Weekend, to be held Saturday, May 6, 2006.  The weekend includes the Canton – Potsdam Hospital Marathon, the St. Lawrence County Dunkin' Donuts Half Marathon, and the St. Lawrence University Wellness Initiative 5K.  The race planning committee is sponsoring a design contest to help in the design of race t-shirts and posters.

Here’s how to enter:

1. Create a logo/picture that can be used on the front of race t-shirts and that can also act as a stand-alone race poster.  It is our hope that designs will reflect the aura of “place” surrounding the Canton area and St. Lawrence University.

2. Include Canton – St. Lawrence University Race Weekend, Canton – Potsdam Hospital Marathon, and St. Lawrence County Dunkin' Donuts Half Marathon in the design.

3. Designs should include an Adirondack chair and/or information related to St. Lawrence's sesquicentennial celebration (to be held throughout 2005/2006).  Information about the sesquicentennial celebration can be found on the St. Lawrence University web page (www.stlawu.edu).

4. Send a completed, full-color, design to:

4. The winning entry will receive a $100 prize, free registration for one of the three races to be held on May 6, the design will be used for the race t-shirt and/or poster, and the winning designer will receive credit on the shirt, poster, and in printed material relating to the race.  Depending on the entries received, separate prizes may be given for the t-shirt and the poster.  Entries must be received by Monday, February 20, 2006.
