All students who have not yet taken a Spanish language
course at St. Lawrence University are required to take a
placement exam in order to determine which course level is
the most appropriate. Because many of our courses fill up
quickly, it is important that you are placed appropriately
as early as possible.
The exam takes about twenty minutes to complete. You will
receive the results at the end of the exam, and in a
follow-up email. The results are also submitted directly to
the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures.
Please note that a given result does not guarantee
placement in a particular course or level. Please contact
the instructor of the course for additional information on
selecting a course appropriate to your level. Please see

The exam site is password protected. If you believe you
should take this placement test and have not yet received
login information, please contact the Language Resource Center.
