Beth Larrabee '97
Assistant Director of Admissions
“One of my favorite times of the day is when the chapel bells
ring at 5:00,” Beth Larrabee says. Now a University administrator,
she says the bells transport her back to her student days when she “couldn’t
get enough of St. Lawrence.”
One of Larrabee’s duties is to coordinate
the tour guide program, in which current students give campus
tours to prospective students and their families. “I thrive
on the opportunity to work with students in leadership roles and mentor
them through projects,” she comments. She also assists with
the community service scholarship program and the Augsbury/North
Country Scholarship Visit Day.
Larrabee is also an alumnae advisor to her
sorority, Kappa Delta Sigma.
“I love the fact that I have been able to continue my connection
with the women in the house that had a wonderful impact on my experience
at St. Lawrence,” Larrabee says. “I believe sorority life
is a great way to develop leadership skills.” She enjoys being
a resource on history and house governance for the sisterhood. She
is also on the Greek Initiative
Task Force, collaborating with others on campus to evaluate the
Greek System and help make suggestions to improve Greek life on campus.
Larrabee is also co-director of St. Lawrence’s Young Writers
Conference, a three-day gathering at the University’s center
in the Adirondacks for high school writers.
Outside of work, Larrabee most enjoys being
with her husband, Rob ’97,
and their three daughters, and scrapbooking.
