Halloween

Pumpkins. Hay bails. Ghosts. Candy. Costumes. These words describe everything about campus this past week. There was a noticeable air of excitement throughout the student body as everybody worked busily through classes in the anticipation of Halloween weekend! The week started on Monday, when I went to go see the film contest show in the Student Center. Students were given 24 hours to create a film, edit it, and submit it. The next day, the six groups that made films were able to present them to the student body. They were amazing!

I keep forgetting that Halloween is actually today, because all of the celebrations took place over the weekend.  Last year, I was sick for Halloween and so I missed out on all the fun, but this year was different.  Halloween is the perfect excuse to dress however you want to.  I'll admit, I'm not a fan of the holiday myself, but it ended up turning out to be a good time.  I just don't see the point of spending money on something that I'm going to wear once and no one is going to remember anyway.
