Spring

Ahhhh, Spring is in the air (although we did receive about an inch of snow on Monday) and SLU students have awoken from their winter hibernation and headed out of the dorms to enjoy some fresh air.

This week-after-break's sunshine has been nothing short of distressing.   Where are my overcast March days, spent in the productive indoors applying for summer internships?   Where is that freezing rain I so welcome when mid-semester essays pile up?   Where's all the treacherous end-of-winter road slush when all I want to do is ride that bike I forgot at home over break?

I couldn't have asked for a better birthday! I woke up to find it was over 60 degrees without a cloud in the sky--the perfect Spring day. I went to Moving Up Day, a St. Lawrence tradition where students and faculty receive awards and then there is a "weaving ceremony" where representatives from each class, dressed in different colored robes and sitting in 4 rows in class order, literally move up a row, symbolyzing moving up a year at St. Lawrence.

Being back from Spring Break somehow makes time go by faster--I can't believe its already Thursday. The good news: Spring is coming!
