April Showers Bring May Flowers...
St. Lawrence University
One topic EVERYONE in Canton and the North Country talks about all the time = the weather. Why? Because it's always changing! At our last Admissions event, the rain would not go away; scarlet and brown umbrellas dotted the entire campus. Here's a picture I took of some umbrellas drying off in the admissions lobby:
Today, as I write this, it's a "sparkler" of a day! As you can see, the flowers are in full bloom, and the dozens of Adirondack chairs are scattered all over campus. Our underlclass students are finishing with final exams and papers and have a great day to pack up and leave campus.
Our seniors are putting the finishing touches on their independent projects, final papers, exams, etc., and getting ready for a bittersweet senior week (Commencement is on May 17th--that will likely be the subject of my next post, so stay tuned!)
We've all been very busy in the admissions office. May 1st was the official postmark deadline for admitted students in the Class of 2013 to respond with their college choice. So far, we have a truly amazing class! Here is a link if you want to see members of our newest class: http:www.stlawu.edu/admis/2013.html The list is updated frequently.
Stay tuned for more updates!
