Greetings!

All of the leaves have fallen on the tress and we finally had our first snow flurries last Thursday night. It had been raining up here most of last week, and finally got cold enough to have some real snow. None of it stayed up here though, and now it is 60 degrees out! This weekend was a beautiful fall weekend. I did a small hike up Mt. Azure on Saturday afternoon with 4 housemates and my good friend Abby Clark. Azure is only about an hour away and we were hiking in snow all day! There sky was blue and clear, and the temperature was perfect. The top was pretty windy, but a gave us a beautiful rewarding view. 

On another topic, The Greenhouse is putting on a panel discussion next  about race and the environment. The title of the panel is The Colors that Comprise "Green": Race, Socioeconomics, and the Environment. We have come up with an outline for the panel and gotten 5 panelists. We hope to start a discussion on campus about trends between race, the environment, and economics. This is a subject that we have been discussing as a house, and are hoping to incorporate many different facets of society to discuss this topic next week Novemeber 17th in the Winston Room.

Thanksgiving break is approaching quickly, and i'll be doing lots of work this week for classes before we head home next week.
