Summer Blog

Mr. Callahan,
I just wanted to touch base at let you know that Blake has graduated, and I will be blogging this year. It should be up and running in a week or so. Feel free to check back often and you will see we are far from east coast preppies (Which is a HUGE stereotype!).
In response to a couple of your questions:
The weather: I was actually talking last night with one of my friends from Jamaica, who prior to coming here a cold day for him was in the 80s. His is now a senior and the cold weather has not negatively impacted his time her and actually be a fun experience. The winters here actually can be quite fun and often people get introduced to new recreational activities, such as pond hockey, skiing/snowboarding, snow shoeing and of course sledding. Not to mention spring and fall are absolutely beautiful.
The People: St. Lawrence prides it self on its sense of community and friendliness of students, faculty and staff. I would consider this a laid back place where west coasters have no problem fitting in (I have a number of friends from California, Colorado, Washington). As far as the suit is concerned, Outside of job interviews I have never had to wear a suit on campus.
I hope that this info was helpful to you and I look forward to your comments on my blog this summer.
