Kansas City Here I Come

It is that time of year again... the turkeys are being carefully chosen, stuffing is being prepared and pumpkin pies are baking! Thanksgiving is upon us and for college students that can only mean one thing... Thanksgiving BREAK! I am so excited to return home to KC tomorrow and I thought you all might enjoy a little Kansas City/Canton comparison.

Painting an Escape

In my Painting class we have recently begun working on our first big painting project!  We are taking one picture and painting it three separate times.  In each piece we will focus on a different method of painting.  It was really important that we pick a reference we would enjoy spending so much time with!  I chose a picture of my family's favorite beach Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

Bowman's Elite Eight

Spring Registration is upon us!  Next week I will be signing up for new courses and I definitely want to make

Decisions, Decisions

I was standing in the book store today when it hit me, I'm a senior!  It was definitely one of those piercing, blow to the gut moments.  I need to figure out what to do next year!  I have been struggling with this reality and happily living in denial about life after SLU.

Mid Semester & Beyond

It seems crazy that Mid Semester break has already come and gone!  I flew out of Syracuse Airport on last Thursday morning and landed at Reagan National Airport.  My weekend became an all out sprint through the sites of D.C.!

Friday we got a tour of the Capitol through my Missouri representative Sam Graves' office.  Patrick and I also visited the Library of Congress and the National Symphony Orchestra.

Sunshine in the North Country

Jambo!

It is a beautiful day in Canton, New York.  The air is crisp, leaves are beautiful and the sun is shining!  It doesn't get much better for a Thursday.

I was able to eat at the Time Out Cafe in our athletic center and had my favorite lunch, chicken salad with grapes on a warm pita!  There is no comparison, Gail and her team at Newell are the best.  Afterwards, I headed to Wal Mart with a few friends, which may sound unexciting but is always a blast.  I really love any opportunity to sing in the car!

Touchdown St. Lawrence

Cheers Everyone!

Last Saturday the Saints beat USMMA (U.S. Merchant Marine Academy)
41-22 in a home game!  I was touring campus with prospective students
for the majority of the afternoon but I managed to catch the tail end
of the game.  The crowd was in a frenzy, their voices reached all the
way to the suites! After the game I got to see one of my favorite St.
Lawrence traditions.

Paint & Springsteen

Happy Thursday!

The leaves are already changing color! It is hard to believe that October begins next week.  Part of me feels like I just got back to campus yesterday.

Greek 101

Hello Everyone!

Another week has flown by at St. Lawrence and I am left wondering where does the time go!  Greek Recruitment took up much of the past week for me, specifically Wednesday to Sunday.  It definitely left me slightly behind in my work which explains why my blog post is a few days late! My apologies.  However, Recruitment was definitely worth it!  I am a member of Delta Delta Delta National Sorority and I have lived in the house since the spring of my sophomore year!

The Midwesterner

Good Morning Everyone!

I know it is a little early for enthusiasm (8:30 AM on a Monday) but this is my first official Blog Entry!   My name is Haley Bowman and I am... gasp... a senior at St. Lawrence University.  I am still waiting for the reality of that statement to hit me. I'm sure my appointment with Career Services next week will be a harrowing reminder ☺!  I am from Kansas City, Missouri and an English Literature major.
