7 Week Journey!

Hellooo! So, the most unexpected thing happened to me after my second week being here. Again, another "freak accident" (if you aren't familiar with what I'm referring to, please read my earlier entry talking about my laptop). I got a concussion! Unfortunately, I am not lucky enough to say that I got the concussion in a sport. Actually, the story is a little embarrassing but now I know to pay attention where I am standing, especially in doorways.

My First two weeks on Campus!

Campus is amazing. I have been on campus for two weeks now. As I mentioned in previous entries, I was scheduled for the Rock Climbing pre-orientation trip, so I was scheduled to arrive on August 19th, which was about 5 days before everyone else was to arrive (August 23rd). Two weeks might not seem long to most people but I already feel like I have been here for much longer than that (in a good way!) My first two weeks have been certainly eventful!

Arrived on campus!

Just wanted to inform everyone that I have finally arrived on campus! The reason why I didn't arrive on the 23rd is because tomorrow (August 20), I leave with the Rock Climbing pre-trip! I would love to type a much more detailed blog entry summarizing my move-in experience but I want to save that for when I return from the trip. Our group expects to return Sunday morning.

Good night!

Packing

I cannot believe I am finally packing! So far, I have a suitcase full of clothes, a box of books, my camping bag full of all necessary items for the rock climbing trip and a box of desk and bedding items. This feels extremely different from packing for Japan (could only bring two checked bags weighing a certain amount and 1 carry-on).

Woohoo!!

Yay! I am officially registered for biology (BIOL 101A if anyone is wondering). It's on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10:50 to 11:50. I am so glad!

Long time, no see

Hello again everyone! Although it has been a very long time since I had last blogged, I have wonderful news to share! Since my last blog post, I have received information regarding my FYP. I also accomplished some necessary dorm shopping.

A Day of Reflection

Today's weather was certainly unique. The morning was absolutely beautiful; sunshine flooded the atmosphere. The afternoon - ominous clouds were harbingers of the intimidating rain (had to rework plans a bit because of that). How about the early evening? Of course, sunny... until three hours later. Then the portentous clouds returned. Wow, the weather was very conflicted! Normally, I absolutely hate weather like that. Very confusing. BUT I felt today's weather suited the day's big occasion very well. Today was CHS class of 2009's graduation.

Lovely Summer Skies

I am absolutely honored that I can begin sharing my adventure as an incoming freshman, especially on such a nice, lovely day. Today, officially the second day of summer, is an absolute stark contrast to the rainy weather we have been experiencing here all week. Seriously, until today I began to feel as if Japan had followed me home. But, I was incorrect. At this very moment, sky is a soothing blue gradient with a few poofs of clouds here and there. Hello summer! What more could anyone ask for?
