The Hiatus is Over

I'm back!  After 3 busy weeks of traveling Europe.  I am back in Copenhagen and back to blogging.  I apologize for not being active in the past few weeks, but my access to the internet was limited.  I will do my best to update you all on my adventures over the past 3 weeks.  I will try to summarize because I could write forever about this vacation.

No Matter What Country You Are In... Midterms are NOT FUN

Halfway through my abroad experience?  This cannot be true!  It feels like I have just arrived, yet this week marks the halfway point.  Midterms have begun and the stress is settling in.  Today is generally field study day, but I am grateful that I did not have one this week.  Thus, I was able to hang out and catch up on some much needed study time.  Tomorrow I have exams in my Lost in Translation and Creative Industries classes.  I have been reviewing readings and going over key topics.  Midterms are essentially the same here as they are back home.  I am NOT looking forward the

Vi Elsker FC!

I just got home from an FC København game.  It is actually the second one that I have been to this week.  The title of this post is "Vi Elsker FC."  This is a song that fans sing before every FC København game.  "Vi Elsker FC" means "We love FC" in English.  The rest of the song has a pretty funny translation, but it is probably not appropriate to post here.  We actually learned how to sing the song and its translation

Study Tour - Odense

So this past weekend in my core class we had our much anticipated study tour.  I had said before that I would be headed to Århus, but I was mistaken.  My group actually went to Odense, the third largest city in Denmark.  Sorry, my bad!  The trip is a way to allow the core courses to bond, visit some educational and cultural sites, and have some fun!  Throughout the trip, I had a strange felling of déjà vu.  The core course program here in DIS is very similar to the FYP

I feel Danish

There is so much to write about, it is always difficult to pick just one thing. There is always so much going on here in Copenhagen, it would take forever to talk about everything what we get to do. So, here are some highlights from this past week:

Hej from København

Some of you may be thinking, “I thought this blog was just for the summer, why is he still blogging?”  Well, you lucky folks get to spend another semester with me!  I will be continuing to blog for the St. Lawrence Admissions Office as an “abroad blogger.”  I realize that there has been a short hiatus in my blog, but I have been trying my best to get adjusted to the Danish way of life and get over my intense jet lag.  I cannot believe I have spent almost two weeks in Denmark already! Time is flying by!

It Can't Be Over Already!

It is incredibly hard to believe how fast this summer has gone.

Cascade and Porter

One of the coolest places to take advantage of near St. Lawrence is the Adirondack region.

Dragons, Slings, Picnics & Poker…

Just recently SLU installed lots of new equipment in the Stafford Fitness Center. My favorite new addition is a fitness biking game. The machine has a large flat screen attached to the front of a stationary bike. You can select different modes on the machine to actually bike different courses, distances, and set a pacer to keep you on track. The program keeps track of your mileage and you can sign in with your user ID when you return to the machine to save your stats. It will even set goals for you along the way.
