On Tuesday, 21 March, ODYsseus, the Catalog and Encore, the Discovery Platform of the St. Lawrence University Libraries and some related services will be unavailable from 4:00 am till noon.
ODY has a new tool for collaboration. The Mediascape is a LCD panel that allows multiple laptop connections and easy switching between displays.
Women’s Writers Project is 358 complete texts written between 1526-1850. These texts bring together nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and plays. There is a timeline so that texts can be chosen by date of composition, and texts can be browsed by genre. An attractive reader opens to the right of the screen and can be expanded to full screen.
There is no print or download capability. We do have some of these texts in our print collection, and many titles can be accessed in print through ConnectNY.
This collection consists of 19th century British publications. There is a remarkable variety of materials in these collections: books, pamphlets, broadsheets, playbills, correspondence, diplomatic reports, diaries, photographs, and maps. The materials are published as PDF files and many of the visual images within the publications are of very high quality.
